Over the past 18 years as a clinician, I've learned that practicing medicine is an art.
Protocols provide a framework to guide me.
In turn, science provides the knowledge to create the protocols.
But the reality is that much of what we think is "science" and therefore fact will change in the future as technology improves. Case in point - Earth is flat, the sun revolves around the Earth.
And the single, largest component that people, including your doctors, often brush to the side is the individual.
You are your own unique being. So what works for someone else may not apply to you.
On top of that, you are constantly changing. I wish I could get my perky college boobs back!
So when figuring out a plan to optimize fertility, you need the flexibility to pivot when things don't work out. It's a LOT of trial and error.
Often because the best solution is not where everyone is looking.
Mainstream medicine focuses so much on the quick fix with IVF and IUI that we lose sight of the need to focus on what our body is inherently capable of doing.
That's to create babies.
Sometimes our bodies stumble, like when you're not getting pregnant. So it needs guidance and a little nudge.
When my 8yo acts like a shyt, I don't banish her to her room and call it a day. I try to figure out what the triggers are and teach her to cope with the emotions that arise in reaction to the situation. That can take years!
Same deal with you.
Take the time to learn what your body needs to thrive. That includes great nutrition, exercise, emotional resilience, hydration, getting enough sleep.
If you optimize these basic needs, you can gain the intuition to know how best to improve your fertility, no matter the diagnosis. Whether it's poor egg quality, advanced maternal age, high FSH, low AMH, low ovarian reserve,...
And showing you how to build your foundation is what my online GPS (Get Pregnant & Stay pregnant) Fertility Program is all about. So come hither here... zenfertility.com/gps
