3 Things You Need To Thrive

As humans, we need 3 things to thrive.

According to Dr. Pat Allen, communication and relationship expert for 42 years, they are:

  1. Someone to love

If you have this covered already, wallow in your good fortune.  Take the extra few minutes every day to shower him with your love.  Nurture and protect that love as the most precious thing you have.

    Because it is.

If you don't have that special person yet, a pet will suffice.  You can borrow my dog when I'm out of town. :)
  2. Something to do

Hopefully you enjoy your chosen career.

If not, maybe it's time for you to re-evaluate your professional path.  It would be a pity to spend half your day doing something you don't enjoy.

I just bought $350 of online education so I can learn more about writing email newsletters.  I'm having so much fun writing these daily emails that I want to get better.  Learn from masters.  And hope to eventually be a ninja email writer.

My main path is as a fertility acupuncturist.  But that doesn't mean I can't learn about other things.

The challenge of incorporating the new knowledge I gain into my current career excites and fuels me.

I've realized that my desires change as I get older because I change.  My life circumstances change.  So it's ok to pivot occasionally.

    It's part of the journey.

    There really isn't a destination.

    Well, death.

Then you really know you've reached your train stop.  And hopefully the ride had been good, if not great!
  3. Something to look forward to

    This can be a toughie.

I thought I knew what I was looking forward to until a year ago when my marriage imploded.

This needs to be fluid.  I can't be tied to the outcome.  No, that would set me up for disappointment if I didn't achieve my goals.

Instead, I'm committed to the journey of pleasing myself and taking care of those who matter most to me.

And most of all, staying open to the opportunities that unfold as I walk my path.

Your path was windier than you thought it would be with the fertility issues you're facing.

But it can be easier with a guide.  If you want to work with me, call me at (858) 495-0771 or book here: http://juliechang.genbook.com/
