I hate it.
But sometimes I give in to it cuz it's sooo easy.
I've already been awake 5 hours and just started writing this email. It was meant to be done hours ago. Yet, I've been distracted by emails that can wait, reading news that just dishearten me, snacking even though I'm not really hungry, lurking in my FB group which doesn't need my input.
If I don't get this email written in the next 30 minutes, I'll have to stay up late to get it done because my time is claimed by other people the rest of the day.
I could skip sending it tomorrow but I made a commitment to work on my business every day.
So when Jan 1 came, I decided to write a daily email.
It's this daily commitment that will sharpen my writing and keep my creativity flowing. It's this daily commitment that will grow my business and challenge myself.
It also gives me built-in accountability. If no email goes out, I know it and I've broken my promise to myself.
Once I do that, the next time it'll be easier to say it's not that important. So I don't want to set the precedent of skipping an email writing session.
Instead, if I stick with it, I know it will become a habit that I won't even think about. Like exercising regularly. Drinking water throughout the day. Reading food labels.
Although it doesn't take a lot of time, it's the act of sitting down and focusing on the task at hand that can be hard. Once it's done though, it really wasn't a big deal. I just made it to be bigger than it was in my mind.
That makes me think...are you creating your own obstacles to getting treatment?
The overwhelming majority of my patients come to me after they've been trying to conceive for years. Yet, they know that the longer they wait, the more difficult it'll be to treat. Time is NOT on our side when it comes to health issues especially fertility.
What's it going to take for you to go "balls to the walls" and do something about it?
I'm here if you need me. Call me at (858) 495-0771.
