I saw a hit and run

Ever played Frogger or Crossy Road?  They're video games where your character has to cross the street without getting hit by oncoming traffic.

I wasn't very good at those games.  I got killed pretty quickly.

This weekend I saw it played out in front of my eyes.  A small squirrel tried to run across the street.

It didn't make it.

I was behind the car that hit it.  That was a cringe-worthy moment.

What made it worse was that it didn't die instantly.  It was writhing in pain with the legs and arms twitching and spasming.  It was terrible to witness.

The worst physical pain I've ever experienced were my 2 home births without meds and 2nd pregnancy.

I've only felt emotional pain once so intense that it manifested physically where I felt like I was stabbed repeatedly with a dull knife.  That went on for a few months.  Once is enough to last a lifetime.  So hopefully it'll stay at that number.

Although unpleasant, they were defining moments for me.  Those experiences tested my strength, my resiliency, and my faith in myself and others.  I gained the confidence to know that I can overcome what gets thrown at me and be even stronger.

Your test might be now as you try to get pregnant.  The pain may have been going on for months or years.  The hard part is not knowing when it will come to an end.  But it will if you let it.  Maybe not tomorrow.  But someday.

If you allow it to be a learning experience, this too shall pass.

You're probably thinking how can this possibly be a learning experience when others can get pregnant so easily.

Honestly, I don't know what it is you need to learn.  It's different for everyone.  Maybe forgiveness, self-love, gratitude, improving your physical health.

Your work is to figure that out.

I can provide the emotional support through these daily emails.  But I can be your guide with concrete advice and tips when I re-launch my online fertility coaching program in November.

In the meantime, stay in the present and connect with your loved ones.
